Warbonnets
All of our war bonnets are specially made for Little Big Horn and our Indian Shop.
They are authentic Indian feather bonnets with real feathers.
These beautiful feather hoods are made by hand and are therefore always individual.
They can be worn by both men and women and are suitable for events, photo sessions and for carnival. Since these are natural materials, there may be minimal deviations in the size of the nibs (+/- 2 cm). The pearl embroidery (Beatwork) can also differ slightly from the pictures.
Since we noticed that our war bonnets are often only used for photo shoots or one-off events and then given back, we would like to point out that our spring hoods cannot be exchanged.

Things to know about the war bonnets:
The headdress of the Indians served as a kind of individual identification mark and showed how brave the warrior was. A war bonnet represented great military performance. The Cheyenne recognized by the feather hood a warrior who had distinguished himself through bravery and battle experience. But it also stood for wisdom, because only a wise warrior and leader can win a battle. That is why the chiefs often wore the most striking headdresses. Hoods made from the feathers of the bald eagle were something very special. Because this eagle was a sacred animal for the Indians. They said of him that the sea eagle would fly highest and be closest to the Creator. These war bonnets were not put on during a fight, because there they would only have been a hindrance.
